**The opportunity**:
This hands-on role will give you the chance to play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Produce facility. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining high standards of freshness, quality, and food safety.

**The job**:

- Location: Ihumatao Road, Mangere, Auckland
- Start: Immediate
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 6 days/week, Sundays off, with early hours starting each day.

**The role**:
You will play a key part in ensuring our department runs while smoothly fostering a positive and productive work environment. Some of the key responsibilities are:

- Assist in managing daily team operations.
- Ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and food safety in the department.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.
- Oversee dispatch functions and ensure smooth workflow.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager on roster management, task allocation, and resource planning.
- Monitor and inspect product quality before packaging.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe work area.
- Keep accurate inventory records and ensure appropriate storage practices.
- Train and develop the Produce team to support their growth and skills development.

We’re looking for someone with strong work ethics, experience in a leadership role, and a deep understanding of produce handling, quality control, and dispatch processes. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and are passionate about fresh produce, this could be the perfect role for you

Key Requirements:

- Proven experience in a leadership role in Fresh Produce or Warehouse environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
- Ability to work in a cold environment and lift heavy items as required.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
- Valid Forklift License required; Class 2 Driver's License ideal.
- A commitment to health and safety and food safety standards.
- Technologically capable and able to adapt to new tools and systems.
- Ability to achieve operational efficiency and handle multiple tasks.
