**Mō te tūnga - About the Role**

The Production Manager at the Christchurch Health Campus is responsible for managing the operations of the patient food services kitchen. Working in an integrated manner with the Patient Services Manager, the Production Manager will lead the kitchen and cooking teams to deliver high-quality food that nourishes patients and contributes to the patient wellness journey.

You will be responsible for:

- Managing the kitchen operations and workforce to produce high quality patient food
- Coaching Supervisors to manage the day-to-day activity of the Kitchen team
- Setting, enabling and monitoring kitchen processes, procedures and standards to deliver quality content and presentation, timely service, effective workflows and waste minimisation
- Growing the team - s capability and culture
- Contributing to our focus on sustainability and equity

Essential
- Minimum 7 years - experience in a production kitchen
- Minimum 5 years leading people medium-large teams
- Proven training skills which enables the effective sharing of knowledge with others
- Demonstrable knowledge of MPI Food Control Programmes
- A tertiary qualification in food services or management

Desirable:

- Experience in a healthcare setting
