The Role

Reporting to the NZ Regional General Manager (RGM), this unique role forms part of the regional leadership team and is critical in the delivery of our strategy. As continuous improvement is an important part of Nando's you will be an exceptional change advocate ensuring the customer is front of mind in everything that you do. The Area Manager (AM) will support, lead and develop company restaurant Patraos, Assistant Patraos, Shift Supervisors and Nandocas (Employees) to create positive work experiences and engage their customers and meet the Area and Business objectives.

Duties- Drive Nandoca engagement through positive leadership and modelling of the Nando’s Values and the Life and Soul.- Coach, mentor and influence Restaurant Managers to deliver strong operational standards, improved sales performance and enhanced restaurant experience- Work with RGM to ensure that the correct procedures are used and/or developed to support strong performers and manage poor performers- Work with restaurant teams to integrate safety processes in restaurant so that safety is always top of mind- Align restaurant operation with business goals and strategy to attract more customers into restaurants- Effectively manage any restaurant issues including operations, human resources, marketing and/or supply chain purchasing within the area- Take a proactive approach to managing costs in the area by identifying and capitalising on opportunities to improve profitability.

What You'll Bring- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager/Manager with On or Above Target results- Self-motivated individual with initiative and attention to detail- Demonstrated ability to identify/develop talent, lead, inspire and implement change at all levels- Strong knowledge of multi-site operations and customer service- Track record in aligning and developing engaged, motivated and empowered teams that are customer focused
