- Base at National Office Wellington- MSD is seeking a Director to support Integrated Delivery of MSD - _services for the future_.
- Integrated Delivery is the key implementation arm of this transformation. We will implement the technology, process and people changes needed to land both our Future Service Model and Client Engagement Practice, while also transforming the way the Ministry delivers its core products and services for clients, staff and partners. You'll join a passionate, future-focused team at the heart of MSD's once-in-a-generation transformation. You will work closely with the General Manager for Integrated Delivery as well as Directors across technology, Business Change and Service Delivery.
- Central to this role is leading the Delivery Office (as part of Integrated Delivery). You will shape and guide the team in providing key programme, planning and governance functions to support Integrated Delivery.
**What you'll be doing | Ko te mahi**
- **You will**:
- Work closely with other Directors to lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and programme Benefits.
- Manage and develop effective programme management practices for Integrated Delivery, aligned with MSD - _services for the future_ programme standards and frameworks. This will include establishing and managing processes around risk, issue and dependency management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, project sponsors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the workstream and across the broader MSD - _services for the future_ programme.
- Manage project resources in-line with integrated planning and project timelines, including budget, personnel, and external contractors, to ensure optimal utilisation.
- Identify potential delivery risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions to project timelines and objectives. Proactively monitor and address issues as they arise throughout the workstream's programme lifecycle.
- Develop and enforce quality management standards across deliverables and products, in line with established Quality Management frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workstream; identifying opportunities to streamline processes, develop good practice, enhance efficiency, and maximise the value delivered by the programme.
- Oversee workstream engagement with governance groups, including developing and presenting programme updates, status reports.
- Develop and oversee effective reporting processes from delivery teams that facilitates transparent communication, accurate status reporting and effective decision-making across governance groups.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers involved in delivery, ensuring performance and quality standards are met, and that commercial agreements align with programme planning and outcomes.-
- **What you bring | Ou pumanawatanga**:
- Prior experience managing large-scale, multi-year programmes or projects, preferably within a similar industry or domain and encompassing organisational, process and technology change.
- Strong business acumen and commercial thinking, and demonstrated experience of Vendor Management.
- Proven ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders, project sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, and the ability to adapt methodologies to suit the needs of the programme.
