**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**

Opportunities have arisen to work as a **Library & Council Service Assistant**in the Albert-Eden and Puketāpapa Local Board Libraries, based at Epsom Library. This will require you to be flexible as you may need to work from other sites within the local board areas, such as Point Chevalier, Mount Roskill, and Mount Albert Libraries.

Epsom Library is a busy community library serving a diverse and vibrant community. Our library whānau is focused on caring for each other, our community, and our environment.

We are looking for a flexible all-rounder to join and contribute as part of a high-achieving, cohesive, and dynamic team. You will be supporting the team and contributing to the day-to-day running of the library. As this is a customer service role, you will be supporting customers from all walks of life.

Many of our libraries are open 7 days a week so flexibility around working days, including weekends and late nights, is required. We are looking to fill a 22-hr permanent part-time role. Shifts below:

- Thursday: 9AM - 6PM
- Friday: 8.30AM - 5.30PM
- Saturday: 9.30AM - 4PM

You will have strong people skills, are flexible and adaptable to our library environment. You have a passion for customer service with a positive attitude towards serving people of all ages and backgrounds. You are eager to learn new skills and thrive in a busy work environment.

We are looking for a team member who:

- Demonstrates an understanding of Te Ao Māori values and principles
- Understands and uses technology with confidence
- Is reliable, enjoys fostering great relationships with our community
- Can demonstrate experience working with a diverse range of people Demonstrates excellent written and communication skill
