**About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga**
As a **Senior Advisor** you will play a pivotal role in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of curriculum data management practices and the resulting impacts on products and services.
Acting as a trusted advisor, you will collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to provide curriculum expertise and utilise feedback to make recommendations for ongoing business cases and pieces of work.
Being comfortable using data and analysis you will work closely with our stakeholders to provide value add, fit for purpose advice and guidance.
Key requirements of this role include:
- A level of capability to confidently work in all aspects of the curriculum framework and provide robust recommendations into curriculum, teaching and learning resources.
- Experience to support curriculum changes, identifying practices that are impactful for students and external stakeholders.
- Ability to research, gather and provide insight to help both the decision-making process and input into business cases and Ministerial correspondence.
- Be able to engage and build credible relationships quickly, and positively.
- Have highly developed verbal and written communication.
- Be a conceptual thinker who can help translate our aspirations into quantifiable actions.
- Be results focused, able to deliver under pressure and maintain focus on the big picture
- Hold accountability for owning and driving your own workload and delivering to a high standard
**About you | Mōhou ake**
You will bring a collaborative style to your work with the confidence to manage relationships at all levels. You will have the ability to navigate complex issues with ease, demonstrated experience to work at pace and deliver smart solutions to critical requests. You will have strong analytical skills which are well utilised to problem solve and help with sound decision making and innovative ways of thinking
You will also offer:
- An understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in the education sector.
- Proven ability to collaborate and take the lead in supporting and developing relationships.
- The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
**About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake**
The purpose of Te Poutāhū is to lead the national curricula for Aotearoa New Zealand and associated systems and processes of assessment and aromatawai.
We design, develop and provide curriculum services for teachers, kaiako, leaders, ākonga, their whānau and communities that reflect their identities, languages and cultures. We bring together curriculum, teaching expertise and evidence for the development, support and review of inclusive curricula, assessment and NCEA. Our strengths are across te reo Māori, mātauranga Māori, disability, inclusive learning support and culturally relevant content so that Te Mahau supports learning that is inclusive for all ākonga.
We support the people who are closest to, and directly serve, ākonga and whānau. We do this through Te Mahau where we connect with the sector, working collaboratively to identify priorities and design local solution.
