Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution which offers a range of programmes from certificate to doctorate level, across a range of disciplines.

We are looking for four experienced academics to lead and co-ordinate our Te Reo Māori programmes alongside an existing 5th National Programme Co-ordinator (NPC - Te Reo Māori). Each NPC - Te Reo Māori will lead a specific level of our programme(s). E.g. level 1, level 2, level 3 & 4, or level 3 (12month) programmes and manage staff to deliver quality learning experiences for their students.

You will also be responsible for academic programme quality including oversight of student evaluations, changes to the programmes and resources, reporting on outcomes and ensuring that students receive regular and helpful feedback. You will have input to the review and development of current and future Te Reo Māori programmes, manage a team of five - eight staff and you will work closely with other NPC’s - Te Reo Māori, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.
- A master’s degree in Te Reo Māori or equivalent.
- Four years academic leadership experience in the tertiary sector.
- Proven experience managing direct reports.
- Adult teaching qualification and experience teaching Te Reo Māori programmes in the tertiary sector.
- Experience co-ordinating Te Reo Māori programmes, as well as experience monitoring NZQA accredited Te Reo Māori programmes.
- A current, unrestricted private motor vehicle licence.

Knowledge of Tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori fluency is required for this position to be successful.
