**The opportunity**

If you're an experienced and organised administrator, this is a great opportunity to bring your excellent administration, organisation, and executive support skills to the Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake. Working alongside the Assistant Auditor-General, Strategy and Communications, you'll be part of a fun and supportive group that works to set the direction for the Office and achieve impact from the Office's work.

In this role, you'll be providing accurate and proactive support to ensure the smooth running of the Strategy and Communications Group, including co-ordinating and supporting the group's workflows.

To succeed in this role, you'll have:

- experience providing high-level administrative support for people in leadership positions, including inbox and diary management;
- excellent verbal and written communication skills to support clear communication within the group and across the Office;
- advanced desktop skills, including in the Microsoft Office suite;
- the ability to plan and juggle multiple priorities;
- experience working collaboratively with other executive co-ordinators and staff from other teams;
- a proactive learning approach to whatever you do; and
- experience working in an environment that requires a high level of discretion, sensitivity, and interpersonal interaction.

For this role, you must able to gain and maintain a Confidential national security clearance. Ordinarily, this means that you must be a New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident, or hold a current residency class visa and intend to become a citizen when eligible. You must have a five-year checkable background in New Zealand, the UK, the USA, Canada, or Australia.
