Director of Development

The main focus of the role is to strengthen the LLA NZ presence locally and nationally, grow its infrastructure and upraise the learners’ recruitment efforts.
The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Development & Community Engagement are as follows:
- Build business cases for strategic projects and initiatives from initial concept planning to completion.
- Develop and maintain sustainable relationships and partnerships with new and existing external stakeholders.
- Devise, implement and manage LLA's regional, national and international recruitment strategies and operational plans that support the recruitment of learners.
- Ensure recruitment initiatives and strategies are relevant to LLA's context and are future-focused.
- Identify, attend, and promote LLA NZ at a range of student recruitment events including recruitment fairs, exhibitions, seminars, school visits, community-organized events, presentations at community partners, etc.
- Provide annual reports, milestone reports and other updates as required.
- Oversee donor and partner relationships in conjunction with the LLA NZ Board of Directors.
**Requirements**:
- Entrepreneurship skills are a must with an ability to self-manage.
- At least 5 years of experience working at an Executive level for a non-for-profit or start-up business.
- A record of success in developing and sustaining productive working relationships with constituents including board members, donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work at a fast pace and manage multiple projects simultaneously; flexibility, persistence, and attention to detail.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Align with Liger Leadership Academy core values.
