Duty Manager

We’re looking for an engaging, proactive, and people-focused **Duty Manager** to help us deliver unforgettable experiences at **The Pride** - one of Aotearoa’s most iconic breweries and home to some of New Zealand’s favourite beverages.
This is a **permanent, full-time** role with a **core Tuesday-Friday roster, plus the occasional Saturday**to support events. It’s a hands-on, varied position where no two days are the same - from running smooth bar service to supporting events, and even jumping in on a bit of behind-the-scenes admin.
As our Duty Manager, you’ll be the go-to person on shift - keeping things running smoothly and ensuring everyone who walks through the door has a top-notch experience.
**You’ll be**:
- Overseeing bar operations and keeping us well-stocked
- Managing appropriate spend behind the bar
- Changing kegs and cleaning beer lines
- Coordinating and running on-site events
- Managing bookings and creating a safe, welcoming vibe
- Supporting food preparation and maintaining bar presentation
- Looking after guests and creating an environment people want to come back to
- Pitching in with admin tasks and general venue support as needed
**What you’ll bring**:
- At least 1 years’ experience in hospitality management (any experience in event planning or management would be a bonus)
- A current Duty Manager’s licence
- Confident leadership and communication skills
- Passion for food, drinks, and delivering memorable customer experiences
- Flexibility, initiative, and a positive, can-do attitude
