Gilmours North Shore is a locally owned and operated food and beverage wholesaler working with the hospitality and related industries on Auckland’s North Shore. We are seeking a tenacious sales professional to join our growing business. As part of an established and successful team, you will have responsibility for growing a geographic region by supporting both your existing customers with their daily food service needs and securing new business to help grow your territory.

Our sales approach is about building strong customer relationships by visiting our existing customers regularly, whilst actively growing and developing new business.

With a competitive base salary, incentive program and company car, this role will give you the freedom to work autonomously where you can determine your own success.

**The Position**:

- Managing sales growth in a geographical territory.
- Analyzing customer purchase history and trends, to drive sales and growth opportunities.
- Launching new products to your customers in conjunction with supplier representatives.
- Creating a workable business plan for your territory.
- Co-ordinating the supply chain in your area by regularly communicating with our logistics department.
- Identifying and securing new business within your territory.
- Communicating with internal departments to create the best outcomes for your customers.
- Managing service levels.
- A “customer comes first” attitude.
- A basic understanding and commercial acumen: margins, cost of sales and budgets.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint (some experience with SAP would also be great).
- Foodservice sales experience is definitely beneficial but not essential for the right person.
- Negotiating skills focused on delivering the best result for your customers.
- A passion for food and commercial food solutions.
- An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercially, customer driven solutions.
- A team player.
