The role

An intermediate level position within our Business Advisory Services team, we can offer a great career pathway working in Albany on a full-time permanent basis, 37.5 hours per week.

You will be providing professional accountancy services to a range of clients, so attention to detail and at least 3 years of relevant accountancy experience is required, preferably in a CA practice.

The day-to-day tasks in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing professional accountancy services which comply with RSM and CAANZ quality standards, this may include budget preparation, preparing management accounting reports, interpretation of policies and special projects as based on client requirements including assisting and/or training clients on computer systems
  • Preparation of financial statements and work-papers, tax returns, GST, FBT, management accounts and assisting with client requests for information
  • Ensuring that service delivery is consistently of high technical and professional standards

You will have:

  • a tertiary business qualification e.g. BCom Degree or similar qualification
  • technical knowledge including NZ Accounting standards and IRD tax and provisional filing dates
  • competence using Microsoft Windows software and relevant accounting systems, with advanced excel skills and knowledge of Xero, MYOB and FYI accounting software a plus
  • a strong work ethic and the ability and desire to self-manage, prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • excellent written and oral communication skills that help you to build and maintain successful client relationships
