My client, a big hitter in the NZ gas industry, based in Auckland is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee their Auckland and Whangarei production and distribution centres. This role will be an interesting role where you will review, change and support all facets of daily operations for both sites. This role does not come around often - if at all We are looking for the right person with a Gas background and can offer a fixed term, temp or temp to perm contract.

This role will be an interesting role where you will review, change and support all facets of daily operations for both sites. This role does not come around often - if at all We are looking for the right person with a Gas background and can offer a fixed term, temp or temp to perm contract.

The role:

- Managing both sites in Auckland and Whangarei with Senior staff as your reporting lines for both teams
- Responsible for review of compliance for physical site set up to consider best function for these operations
- Leading in change and development for physical site planning and or movement
- Responsible for review of current processes and support in development of needed processes
- Responsible for adhering to industry standards and legislation for both site and operations
- Driving process adherence through review, change and implementation of any needed or developed processes
- Leading teams in a strong H&S culture and supporting in development of staff in specific areas of H&S for the industry
- Responsible for budget and planning, where long term cost efficiency is a focus
- Leading in staff development where staff have developed pathways and training

Who are you:

- Minimum 5 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
- Previous experience is needed in areas of site structure planning and or machinery for the Gas industry
- Strong leadership skills and must be a team player and happy to help in areas where needed
- Flexible in travel ability, to look after both sites. Start times are usually earlier in day and may require flexible day hours
- Capable of making necessary changes to ensure production and safety go hand in hand
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation particularly in how it relates to the industry
