A leading New Zealand manufacturer of quality plastic pipe and fittings, they have been has been a trusted household brand in the New Zealand market place for over 50 years.

**About the role**:
Covering the whole of the South Island, this is an outstanding opportunity for an energetic and well organised sales professional with relevant industry experience to join an evolving and progressive business. Some of the key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Achieve overall business goals and objectives using structured calling plan
- Predominantly dealing with the civil market, with some exposure to rural
- Work closely with customers to determine present and future needs
- Manage account relationships within territory
- Conduct product presentations and training where applicable
- Go the extra mile for customers - protect and enhance relationships with the business

**About you**:

- A proven hunter, with strong sales ability gained from managing a large territory.
- At least 3 to 5 years in sales experience - with a proven knowledge in the civil/rural market.
- Strong understanding of general economic, market and business trends - particularly around infrastructure.
- Well organised, with a positive and willing attitude, to enable you to contribute and adapt to a dynamic environment.
- Self-starter with proven follow up skills and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to travel, as the territory covers the whole South Island, overnight travel will be required on occasion.

Other areas of the central South Island may be considered as a base, for the right individual.
