**About the role**:
We're offering a permanent opportunity within the Financial Registries Team which sits in the Registry Operations area of the Companies Office. The team is responsible for administering financial reporting compliance, the Disclose and Financial Services Providers registers, the more recent Climate-related Disclosures register, the Companies Act 1993, Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 and other related legislation.

The purpose of the Senior Technical Services Advisor is to administer compliance functions thereby enabling all corporate entities to meet their filing obligations under the relevant legislation.

The Senior Technical Services Advisor is responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of advice and practices in relation to their contribution to the team's work.

**Skills and Experience Required**
- Sound experience with registry systems
- Well-developed analytical thinking and an ability to identify critical issues and develop workable solutions to often complex problems.
- Understanding of how legislation governs operational services. For example: Financial Reporting Act 2013, Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, Financial Service Providers (Disputes Resolution Act) 2008.
- Ability to quickly assimilate new technical information and communicate it in terms that a diverse audience can understand.
- Ability to critically assess work-flows and prioritise work to adjust readily to pressures and changes in the work environment.
- Focus on providing quality service to customers.
- Ability to maintain sound working relationships and a willingness to share knowledge with other staff and to provide constructive feedback to others.
- Ability to work innovatively and have a forward-looking and pro-active approach to issues.
- Must have legal right to live and work in New Zealand
