**About this role**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Associate - Signalling Engineer to lead to our vibrant and enthusiastic Engineering team based in Auckland. The focus of the role is to provide Signal Engineering solutions and consulting services for railway infrastructure projects and related areas in order to enhance the team’s portfolio of skills and expertise, support the rail team leader in running projects, and mentor junior team members.

**What will I do?**
- Lead the team’s effort in the review, supervision and management of all signalling and train control activities.
- Participate and contribute to tasks and outputs related to interfaces with other sub-systems and general rail systems engineering activities.
- Manage in and supervise staff engaged on similar activities related to signalling and train control.
- Lead the development, collation and delivery of deliverables under the jobholder’s scope through to Client acceptance.
- Collaborate with managers and coordinators of other disciplines and regions to facilitate delivery of their deliverables.

**What will I bring?**
- Relevant Degree in Engineering, Rail Transport or Systems Engineering.
- Approximately 15 years domain expertise and currently in a signalling and train control system engineering management role using ETCS / CBCT technology or similar.
- Experience in managing and providing input into rail systems engineering disciplines, within green and brownfield environments from design through to implementation and bringing into service phases.
- Experience working in an international team environment whilst located in New Zealand.
- Experience on multi-modal operating environments including commuter, mass transit and high-speed rail operations environments.
