Mott MacDonald is working on a number of city-shaping Transport projects in New Zealand and we are currently looking for an experienced Signalling Engineer to join our busy, growing team. This role sits within the Rail team in our Wynyard Quarter office.

- Provision of technical advice to clients on signalling, communications and control systems technology to support the design and construction of signalling projects
- The preparation of Signalling designs, reports and conceptual designs.
- Preparation of maintenance plans and reviews and operational studies.
- Providing technical leadership on nominated projects as required
- Design of signalling arrangements/scheme plans, control tables and simulation modelling on railway capacity projects
- Provide technical leadership and expertise for conventional signalling and/or automated train control systems (such as ETCS and CBTC)
- Review or verify and interpret engineering drawings and reports and provide technical input into a diverse range of projects and ensure that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements
- Manage the scope and monitor multiple projects of varying complexity and size
- Mentoring and guiding rail professionals through the early stages of their rail career
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent
- 8-15 years’ experience in signalling design
- A working knowledge of Microstation would be beneficial but not essential
- Working towards Chartered status CPENG
