**The Role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the Payroll Remediation and Compliance team activities in the detailed investigation of all aspects of payroll to fully identify any gaps in compliance (with employment agreements and relevant legislation) and determine root cause for these gaps.
- Provide detailed documentation of these findings both at a technical level and also in a way that can be discussed with management teams in the business units.
- Record options and recommendations for how changes may be made to the payroll to ensure compliance (process and system).
- Calculate the impact of changes to employee pay including the financial impact on the business unit and to present these findings to stakeholders in a professional and effective manner.
- Ensure that the work allocated is executed in a professional, accurate and timely manner according to the requirements of the Steering Committee and the Head of Payroll and Credit Management & Debt Recovery.

**About you**
- Your role is essential to ensuring Fletcher Building operates in compliance with all relevant New Zealand legislation as it relates to Payroll. You therefore must have an in depth understanding of legislative compliance relating to payroll in New Zealand, a sound understanding of the Holidays Act 2003 and an ability to interpret it into plain English. Experience in managing end to end remediation activities to ensure the organisation meets its compliance obligations is also a must.
