Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG) enhances the health and disability system by leading health investment through planning, prioritising, delivering, and monitoring health infrastructure projects. Safe, fit for purpose health facilities are essential for a well-functioning health and disability system and better health outcomes. It includes more than just buildings; it is investment in new models of care, clinical equipment, digital enablement and change management.
The IIG manages this responsibility through several functions, including asset management, investment planning, facility design, programme and project management, service planning, and monitoring and assurance.
The IIG is looking for high calibre professionals who understand the unique challenges of delivering capital works for the public sector. This is a rare opportunity to tackle one of the most critical infrastructure programmes in the country - bringing all our health facilities and hospitals up to a high standard and ensuring equity for all New Zealanders.
The primary purpose of the Senior Advisor, Investment Planning:

- is to support the investment planning.
- the prioritisation of investments within the health infrastructure portfolio.
- support the development of business cases.

- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant area and/or appropriate experience
- Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills and an ability to deal with complexity
- A collegial attitude and desire to work with colleagues to achieve results, and share your knowledge and expertise to support the growth of the team
- Great organisational skills, and a willingness to learn
- Experience with Investment Management frameworks and processes.

This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
