We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Human Resources Advisor (People & Education Advisor) to join our dynamic People & Education (P&E) team supporting our fast-growing retail store teams. Working remotely in Auckland, the People Advisor will coordinate and support with key activities for ongoing people operations and a seamless team member life cycle across all of our New Zealand store-based teams.

This newly created role will play a key role in facilitating and processing all people changes and requests in our Workday system, conduct and analyse reporting on people data, driving and maintaining rostering compliance and management of the casual conversion process, in line with New Zealand employment legislation.

Working closely with the P&E Manager, the P&E Advisor will also support with key P&E activities and projects, including building management capability with regards to team member life cycle requirements, to ensure a seamless experience for team members. The P&E Advisor will partner with key stakeholders within the P&E team to create and maintain a high-performance culture across MECCA and ensure we remain a top employer in New Zealand.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Responding to and managing first line people enquiries
- Supporting any recruitment needs for the NZ store teams
- Ensuring the company remains compliant with all relevant people legislation
- Driving local recruitment and attraction initiatives with a focus on managers and specialists
- Supporting the timely execution of People & Education activities across NZ
- Building management capability and driving succession planning
- Managing cyclical performance and remuneration processes
- Supporting with project plans and executing initiatives that support the People Plan
- Partnering with the NZ Education team where required, to support the learning needs of our store team members

What You Will Bring:
As you manage the end-to-end team member life cycle, you'll be juggling multiple hats at any one time so prioritisation and collaboration is key

Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate:

- Prior experience in a HR Advisor role ideally in retail, hospitality or a similar industry supporting a large team member base
- Demonstrated ability to interpret NZ legislation
- The ability to solve problems creatively and draw on your best-practice HR experience
- Experience managing competing priorities
- Strong time management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience using Workday (desirable, not essential).
