The role

The Health and Food Safety Manager is a new and exciting role that will be accountable for the ongoing momentum, drive for improvement, and future direction of the Health, Safety, Wellbeing, and Food Safety across our business. It will advocate the spirit, character and beliefs that make a positive difference and help us continue to build a workplace where our people are healthy and happy to come to work and leave safely every day.

There is plenty of scope to foster and develop a proactive safety culture that encourages everyone to take personal responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all our people and those who benefit from the services we provide. It requires someone who brings a strategic and contemporary approach, who is ready to collaborate, and influence across all levels of our business.

The position will be based from our Hamilton Hub, and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, will be a member of our Senior Leadership Team and have one direct report specialising in Food Safety. It comes with a competitive remuneration package including company vehicle and fuel allowance, as travel to sites across the country will be required.

- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to develop working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A high level of strategic planning and business acumen.
- The ability to think pragmatically with a solutions focus and strong ability to think outside the square.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health and safety related legislation and practice, and confidence to successfully navigate a wide range of situations and issues.
- Proven experience advising on complex issues, change management, and organisational development.
- A contemporary outlook with the ability to bring life to health and safety compliance.
- An aptitude and curiosity with data and information and able to see the story and its relevance to the business.
