**Position Available**: Health and Safety Officer
**Number of Positions Available**: 1
**Location**: Waikato
**Payrate**: $31per hour - $34 per hour
**Minimum Hours of Work Per Week**: 30
**Maximum Hours of Work Per Week**: 40
**Key Requirements**:
At least 1 year or more of relevant experience or in medical field.
or
At least Level 2 or above qualification in medical field or have healthcare studies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies tailored to
horticultural operations and outdoor work environments.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across orchard
and field sites.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, and provide detailed reports
with recommendations.
Deliver training and inductions on safe work practices, PPE use, and emergency response procedures.
Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and other relevant industry guidelines.
Maintain records of incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and staff training.
Colaborate with site supervisors and orchard managers to foster a strong safety culture.
Promote continuous improvement in workplace health and safety standards.
