An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join a well-known leading government department as an in-house Corporate/Commercial Solicitor on a short-term contract (mid-September - Christmas). Provide specialist advice and gain an insight to the in-house world of the public sector. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will be immersed in a wide variety of work relating to commercial leases, IT contracting, government procurement, privacy, and health & safety.

**About You**
- A NZ qualified lawyer holding a current NZ practising certificate (_preferred_) or eligibility to hold one
- Minimum of 2-5 years' PQE in corporate, commercial, or public sector environment
- Problem-solving and solution-oriented focus
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
