Ticket Checking Supervisor

We are looking for a friendly and professional Ticket Checking Supervisor to join the Whakapapa team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service whilst ensuring a safe and efficient ticket checking operation at Whakapapa for guests and staff around the mountain. Whether it's because you love nature, the truly unique world heritage area, or the obvious draw card of skiing/riding the volcano, there are opportunities for real fun at every turn. **THE DAY TO DAY** As well as greeting guests at lift stations and making them feel welcome, you will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the staff, ensuring a thorough and efficient service is provided to guests. Other responsibilities include: - Ensuring all lift users have a valid lift ticket/pass, inclusive of RAL employees at all times, and managing any fraud attempts in the appropriate manner. - Assist in the training and development of the Ticket Checking Team alongside the Head of Department, ensuring that all staff can accurately meet customer needs. - Provide up-to-date and accurate information to the public on products and prices, Mt Ruapehu Ski Area and the local area. - Deal with complaints, compliments and suggestions in a helpful and empathetic manner. **DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?** Along with your service-focused mindset and able manage staff working across the mountain, we need you to bring your "A" game. Other necessities include: - Experience in supervising staff. - Familiarity with Ski Area environments. - Thorough knowledge of guest service principles which translates to exceptional guest service. - Helpfulness with dealing with others. - A tolerance for uncertain market and weather conditions. - A flexible approach to rosters, guest needs and the strategic direction of the organisation.
