As RealNZ embarks on our journey to become a Conservation & Sustainability Company enabled by Tourism, we are aware our retail space needs to join this journey too. We are looking for a visionary, someone who can recognise the opportunity our General Store at Walter Peak brings as we look to reimagine our offering.

We want to offer sustainable products that match our experienceAt Walter Peak, think icebreaker merino clothing available to purchase after watching a sheep shearing experience The General Store is more than a store, it's a destination, an integrated space that can host workshops and small events and once established we will look to grow our retail offering through our other Whakatipu experiences.

We are looking for a unicorn A leader with demonstrated retail skills and a passion for partnering with brands who align with our vision to deliver Aotearoa's most memorable experiences (and products) in a sustainable fashion. You'll be responsible for the procurement of clothing, homewares and giftware as well as in-store merchandising, optimising the General Store's presence and building displays.

To succeed in this role, you will be 100% customer focused and passionate about creating a sales culture where customer expectations are exceeded. Your outstanding customer skills and excellent communication skills will result in great service, delivering a seamless and exceptional experience to all our guests.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- An engaging personality and can offer a genuine and unique customer experience
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in retail
- Procurement experience, sourcing quality merchandise and who can network with suppliers
- Proven ability to achieve sales, wages and KPI target indicators
- Creative flair and visual merchandising experience
