Business Intelligence Analyst

Post Haste is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst ready for their next step. You'll work closely with operational and leadership teams across our nationwide courier network, turning data into insights that improve service, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the action & spending time in our operational environments, as much as building the queries and dashboards that power better decisions. With real ownership and visibility, this role offers clear progression into senior BI opportunities over time.

What you'll be doing

  • Partnering with operational leaders to identify opportunities and translate questions into analytical insight.
  • Writing SQL to extract, shape, and validate data from core systems.
  • Designing and delivering clear, decision-ready Power BI dashboards and reports, providing insight at a glance.
  • Creating and Maintaining new and existing PowerApps
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and storytelling that drives measurable change.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
  • Contributing to the Freightways A-NZ BI Centre of Excellence (CoE), sharing standards and best practice.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in BI/analytics delivering insights to operational stakeholders.
  • Exposure to courier, logistics, FMCG, or similarly fast-moving, distributed operations (ideal).
  • Strong SQL and Power BI capability; Power Apps experience is a bonus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a scalable approach to insight.
  • A knack for simplifying complexity and communicating clearly - whether in a workshop, a deck, or on the floor.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and comfort working end-to-end from problem framing to impact.

You'll be based with the Post Haste Head Office team in Penrose, reporting to the National Data & Analytics Manager at NZ Couriers, and working as part of the wider cross company BI teams.
