We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Oncology service. This is a permanent full-time position, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week).
This role will work with people to assist them in making informed choices around care, provide clinical teams with advice and guidance on treatment of symptoms and management of care.
The focus is to deliver high quality care to the growing population in the Bay of Plenty. At the heart of our services are our CARE values - Compassion, All-one-team, Responsive and Excellence.
If you are a senior nurse with significant experience / interest in oncology, post graduate education and a service improvement skill base - and you have energy and drive to contribute to building services in response to demand, we would love to hear from you
He Korero mōu - About You
You will need experience / keen interest in oncology, sound clinical assessment skills and nursing knowledge and be able to communicate with a vast number of health professionals as well as provide support to patients and their families. As there will be times you will be working autonomously, confidence in your assessments and recommendations to hospital doctors, nurses and other members of the MDT is expected while developing good ongoing relationships.
