Clinical Nurse Specialist Emergency Department

We're looking for an Emergency Clinical Nurse Specialist with lots of experience behind them to become part of the team here in Rotorua Emergency Department (ED).
As part of the ED team, you will be working collaboratively with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, tailored care to patients. You will also provide specialized education and mentoring of other ED health professionals.
You will be involved with initiating and / or participating in evidence-based service improvements, quality enhancement, policy development and building of staff capability.
Clinical aspects of this role will include assessment of the patients, diagnosing and treating, ongoing care planning and arranging discharge.
This is a well-supported role within ED with lots of depth and room for development.
**Key Requirements Include**:
Nursing Council of NZ registration, and current APC
A relevant postgraduate qualification or be willing to work towards this qualification
Significant relevant ED clinical experience - minimum 5 years' experience within ED.
Be able to work collaboratively with health professionals and as an autonomous practitioner.
Excellent clinical assessment skills
Excellent communication skills
Team player attitude
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
Willingness to compete postgraduate prescribing paper to enhance the ED CNS role.
Salary range $112,660 - $123,955 pro rated to hours worked (Grade 2 Steps 1-3)
