**What's the job?**

Vac U Digga is New Zealand’s leading hydro excavation specialist. Hydro excavation is all we do, the level of expertise we’ve accrued doesn’t happen overnight. It’s the result of 18 years of civil construction experience and ten years of Research and Development.

The Operations Manager role will coordinate and manage the interdependencies between groups of related projects/ contracts, managing horizontally across operational contracts / projects and ensuring that cross-contract/project work effort remains feasible from a business standpoint and returns the expected benefits to the Company.

You’ll provide local direction and leadership whilst ensuring the appropriate allocation, coordination and utilisation of both staff and plant. You will be responsible for business growth within the region, driving operational excellence in delivery of service, with overall responsibility for cost control whilst meeting all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.

The role will demonstrate technical prowess, communication, leadership and business knowledge, combined with the aptitude to adjust projects/contracts around issues, complexities or shifts in strategic objectives.

- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
