**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Ventia is seeking an experienced Work Management Centre Operator to join their hardworking and dedicated FM team supporting a large local government Facilities Management contract in the Wellington region.

Reporting to the Works Management Centre Lead, the WMCO will provide first point of communication with Ventia’s customers and subcontractors to deliver a timely, quality facilities management services.

The role provides the ‘front door’ of Ventia and requires a calm, professional approach to ensure that work is managed in accordance with a range of demanding priority levels.

**Your key responsibilities include**:

- Managing all aspects of help desk operation, information collation and dissemination, reporting and customer interface.
- Ensuring all reactive maintenance tasks are allocated to the appropriate resource to ensure rectification times are achieved.
- Monitoring progression of all work orders via the Maintenance Information System (MIS), ensuring Facility Managers and the Strategic Asset Manager and Planner are notified of any tasks that are at risk of not meeting timeframes.

Ventia operates on two shifts between 7am to 7pm and you will have the opportunity to work flexibly between the shifts, working together with the other team members to ensure the operations window is covered.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will need to be good with managing multiple systems at the same time and able to learn new things or pick up new tasks quickly. The ability to work in a team environment as well as flexibility around changing work priorities will be key to your success in this role.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A professional warm friendly telephone manner with the ability to speak with clarity and confidence
- Strong problem solving and decision-making ability
- Able to interpret and present written information, demonstrating fluent written and verbal English
- Excellent customer service skills with the client, team members and external customers
- Demonstrated adherence to the Health and Safety practices of the Facilities Maintenance industry and Ventia.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- 3 years previous work experience in a services help desk environment
- Proficient in MS windows including Outlook and Excel

The ability to work under pressure, experience with deadlines and reasonable volumes of speed are essential to your success in this role
