This is an EXCITING OPPORTUNITY.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to work with our Traffic Management client based in Lower Hutt.

THE ROLE

The role of an Operations Manager is to oversee all operational aspects of the department including to plan and organise work safely and efficiently, while making sure that all resources are available to execute the job. This includes people, plant and materials in your area of control. As an Operations Manager, you will provide assistance to the Department Manager and may b required to backfill this role from time to time with the support of the supervisors and/or forepersons reporting to you.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Look after the safety of yourself and people around you
- Pre-start meetings
- Understand hazards and the plan to control them
- Reporting incidents, accidents and near misses
- Be free from drugs and alcohol in the workplace
- Look at ways of doing work better and safer, sharing your ideas
- Follow and enforce company rules
- Carry out general H&S audits as required
- Carry out TTM specific audits as required

SKILLS TO DO THE JOB
- Current class licence (needed from day one)
- Current class 2 & W,T,R endorsements (client can help you get these if you don't have them)
- Experience managing and developing teams (preferred)
- Relevant department knowledge and understanding
- First aid certificate
- TTM Mentor
- STMS CAT A/B/C practicing
