**The Opportunity**

Our client has been in the business of successfully moving people across the Waitematā Harbour to where they need to be for over 15 years. Based out of Hobsonville Marina, operating a fleet of passenger catamarans, they have become a key part of the community and place people first in every aspect of their business. This is a core fundamental to their success to date.

While not the biggest, the business is very proud to hold best customer satisfaction score for the Auckland ferry network. As a key part of the public transport network, they operate predominately Monday through Friday with rostered weekend work to service Rakino Island.

**The Role**

In this newly created position, we are looking to recruit a talented **Business Delivery Manager** to lead the team and cement the foundations for the future.

To be successful in this role, you will be a natural people leader who is commercially astute, data driven and able to demonstrate strong leadership and teamworking skills. You should also demonstrate excellent communication and IT skills.

This role is about maintaining course and ensuring contract deliverables to Auckland Transport (AT), the business, its people and clients get to where they need to be, when they should be.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will have oversight of the business unit and be supported by three highly skilled direct reports overseeing a team of 20 skippers and crew.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Leading the marine team, managing performance, conflict resolution and ensuring the teams processes and tasks are carried out efficiently.
- Managing business unit finances and budgets
- Building and maintaining partnerships with suppliers to ensure continuity of service
- Hold a position of responsibility within the companies Maritime Transport Operator Plan (MTOP).

**Requirements**:

- A tertiary qualification in a business-related field
- Experience in leadership roles, logistics and customer service
- Previous experience in managing mid-sized teams
- Good IT skills and the ability to use business support software
- Strong customer service, project management and quality control skills
- Energy and resilience to operate in a dynamic environment with great resource planning skills
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills with the ability to take others with you
- Strong teamwork skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Be able to meet the requirement for a Maritime New Zealand “Fit and Proper Person”.
