IPONZ maintains the registers of intellectual property interests and contributes to international and national policy setting in relation to intellectual property systems and processes, as well as IP awareness and international engagement and cooperation.

The Manager Business Delivery is a new key leadership role within IPONZ leading a new Business Delivery Team of advisors and team co-ordinators.

The role will work in partnership with the National Manager to lead the strategic planning for IPONZ, and will drive the design and delivery of business initiatives to meet IPONZ strategic directions and work programme objectives. The role will support the National Manager in the identification, monitoring and management of risks and issues.

The role will oversee a high performing Business Delivery Team who will support our operational business practices including reporting, procurement and budget oversight; manage our domestic and international relationships and partnerships (other than Māori); and work in partnership with our Information and Education team to deliver the IP promotion, awareness and educational work programme.

- Proven experience working at a senior and strategic level within a complex and challenging environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to build credible, respected relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders, including senior managers and people in partner agencies
- Understands the system, how people and the organisation function and can drive the strategic work programme and influence change as required.
- Applies strong intellectual capability and judgement to analyse large, complex regulatory and policy issues, and readily grasp and synthesise the ideas, analysis and advice produced by others.
- Highly developed analytical and financial skills and the ability to extract information, identify patterns and trends, and integrate information from multiple sources.
