We seek a results-oriented restaurant manager to achieve sales objectives by hiring and training qualified staff, supervising kitchen operations, and motivating employees during peak hours. Additionally, restaurant managers are responsible for making necessary menu adjustments, ordering ingredients for the kitchen employees, and collecting customer feedback.

**Job Responsibility**
- Manage the entire operation of the restaurant.
- Planning menu and discuss them with the chef and other staff for implementation
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s uniform standards.
- Meeting and greeting customers, organizing table reservations and assisting in taking orders.
- Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
- Interview, select, train, motivating and supervising new and existing staff.
- Organizing and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff and adjust the staff when business dictates (Labor Cost Control)
- Maintain relationships with customers and staff.
- Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, fictional and of suitable appearance.
- Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Preparing cash drawers.
- Helping any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
- Update and use job related knowledge.
- Schedule staff work hours and activities.
- Evaluate health and safety practice against standards.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize.
- Make decisions and solve problems concerning menus and staff.
- Judge the quality of food and preparation.
- Process and analyze information when scheduling and budgeting.
- Record information about inventory and health practices.
- Get information from customers, employees and inventory records.
- Inspect equipment and food deliveries
- Monitor food preparation and cleaning methods.
- Monitor and oversee purchase of groceries, menus and staff.
- Manage administrative activities such as scheduling, budgeting and payroll.
- Communicate with an outsider, accountant and IRD.
- Communicate with customers, sales reps, and suppliers.
- Plan and organize special functions. Implement ideas or products.
- Confers with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and services.
- Ensure profit margins are maintained and agreed cost does not exceed.
- Prepare, record and deposit cash to the bank on weekly basic and change order reimbursement according to company policies and procedure.
- Oversee the maintenance of all equipment and restaurant facilities, resolve any damages and replacement, ensuring replacement and repair are conducted when required.
- Deal with city council officers and representatives when comes to Restaurant compliance and Alcohol Licensing.

**Requirements for a Restaurant Manager**
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Bookkeeping knowledge.
- Must be New Zealander
- Able to work on weekends
- Managing staff and providing them with feedback
- Responding to customer complaints

**Salary**: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
