**Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The opportunity**
MBIE is looking for a senior relationship manager to be responsible for creating, building and maintaining relationships with large, influential New Zealand organisations to encourage them to adopt eInvoicing. This is a rare opportunity within the eInvoicing team - a new initiative to Australasia.
This role will be responsible for supporting business to be eInvoicing enabled which includes attending events, providing advice and information, and connection with the support people in the MBIE eInvoicing team.
Reporting to the eInvoicing Adoption Manager, within the eInvoicing branch, you will:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain relationships with large, influential businesses and government agencies in New Zealand, to enable them to develop the capability for eInvoicing and promote its uptake with their customers.
- Builds appropriate and effective relationships with businesses that can contribute to the adoption and growth of eInvoicing in NZ.
- Maintains a strong understanding of clients’ industry and business, assists the partners in the formation of eInvoicing adoption strategies, and plans.
- Work alongside the Manager Marketing Communications and the Marketing Support Advisor to support the organisations they engage with.
- Develop relationship management plans for each key relationship including the setting of key objectives.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and customers to promote eInvoicing.
**Ko wai koe | About you**
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement experience working between Government and the private sector or in the private sector.
- The ability to persuade and influence people in external organisations to adopt eInvoicing and encourage their customers to adopt.
- A high level of understanding and appreciation of the political landscape and wider Government communication priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in development and maintaining an environment focused on continuous improvement to enhance organisational performance.
- Knowledge of partnership / stakeholder engagement disciplines and processes.
- Understanding of Government decision-making and operating procedures would be an advantage.
- Experience /knowledge of finance, finance systems or cloud software would be beneficial.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive and comparable relevant experience
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
