**About the Role**

As a Graduate Analyst, you’ll work closely with our senior team to analyse financial data, review company expenses, and identify eligible R&D costs for incentives and grants. You’ll also attend client meetings, take structured notes, and contribute to financial assessments. This is a great role for someone looking to build expertise in finance, tax incentives, and business advisory while working in a flexible environment.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

Financial analysis - Reviewing company accounts, profit and loss statements, and expense records to assess eligibility for R&D incentives and grants.

Advanced Excel work - Using pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis tools to organise and interpret financial data.

Xero & Accounting Systems - Extracting data and preparing reports.

Client meetings - Attending meetings, taking structured notes, summarising key insights, and identifying action points.

**What We’re Looking For**

Strong Excel skills - You should be comfortable with advanced functions like pivot tables, SUMIFS, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. Bonus points if your knowledge goes beyond these functions.

Basic accounting knowledge - Understanding of financial statements, particularly P&L and Balance Sheet statements.

Xero experience - Some familiarity with Xero or willingness to learn.

Interest in business - With a curiosity about innovation, finance, and how companies grow.

Attention to detail - Ability to review financial data accurately and spot trends.

Proactive and organised - Comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and keeping track of tasks.
