**Korero mo te turanga | About the Role**

The work our graduates (ng Kaiwhiwhi Tohu) do is varied and extensive. You'll start your career in the heart of public sector decision-making and will work on significant pieces of advice across large and influential portfolios.

We have three work streams open in our January 2026 graduate analyst intake - our **Macroeconomic**, **Capital and Commercial**, and **Policy, Performance and Advisory** streams.
- **Macroeconomic Stream**

This stream is focused on improving New Zealand's wellbeing through macroeconomic and fiscal policy, modelling, research, and forecasting. Find out more about the Macroeconomic stream here.

- **Policy, Performance and Advisory Stream**

Streams help us define the type of work you'll do and allow us to provide the right learning and development opportunities for you within our 18-month graduate development programme (kaupapa whakawhanake t ngata whiwhi tohu). After completing the programme, you can move between teams and streams.

We are seeking people who:

- Have a university degree (preferably majoring in economics, finance, accounting, or law, though all will be considered)

- Have personal integrity and an honest and ethical approach

- You are entitled to work in NZ through:
1. New Zealand Citizenship, Residency or Permanent Residency, or
2. You are entitled to a three-year Post-study Open Work Visa (for degree Level 7 or above qualifications) and currently living in New Zealand
- You are available to start in the Graduate programme in January 2026
