Incident Response Team Leader, Waterview Tunnel

An excellent opportunity for growth has come up in the iconic Waterview Tunnel

The role of the Incident Response Team Leader is to ensure that the Waterview Tunnel keeps moving through efficient response and management to all incidents that can occur in the tunnel.

This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication across all parties involved with incident response, including Emergency Services, Waterview Maintenance Team and Tunnel Operators; as well as with Network Operators, ASM and contractors (as the National Recovery Alliance).

This unique role has some non-negotiables:

- This position has a 24/7 roster inclusive of nights and days. Four day shifts, four rest days, four night shifts, four rest days.

Key deliverables for this role:
Incident Response Services
- Attend incidents as directed by Tunnel Operators ATOC Smales
- Management of incident response sites including; vehicle crashes, material spills, asset damage, natural hazards
- Evaluate incident scenes and make decisions, then directing the Waterview incident response team

Tunnel Maintenance Services
- Liaison with the IRC manager to coordinate activities and to make sure they are completed on time and to the required standard (maintenance planned inspections)
- Provision of external specialist services for Civil and Structural Engineering scope
- Meeting Level of Service requirements. Interact with Waterview Maintenance Team to ensure the tunnel and the systems are serviceable and available

Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain current and assist with the development of new processes and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures as required
- Be familiar with all relevant OAMA procedures and Incident Response Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist in safety planning meetings and debriefs

Qualifications needed:

- Minimum CoPTTM qualified to L2/3 NP STMS.
- Full New Zealand Drivers License. Class 2.
- First Aid
- Basic mechanical and technical systems knowledge and understanding of light motor vehicles
- Knowledge of the Coordinated Incident Management System (CIMS). Preffered.
- Qualified in the NZQA Traffic Incident Management or processing through the qualification
