New Zealand Vietnamese Cafe & Restaurant Ltd Full time

We are a 240-seat Vietnamese restaurant located at 8 Brake Street, Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. we are looking for 2 kitchenhands to join our busy kitchen, who have endless passion in food and experience in a busy kitchen of big restaurant where quality is never compromised.

Roster shifts with guaranteed minimum 30-40 hours/weeks and salary range $23-$30depending on your experience.

What you will do
- Assisting the Cook with the preparation of meal ingredients, including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
- Stirring and heating soups when requested by Cooks or Chef
- Retrieving food and ingredients from fridge and storageas requested by Cooks according to the orders received.
- Informing the Cooks/team if ingredients and spices are running low.
- Assisting Cooks with food preparation and decoration.
- Unloading of delivered food supplies.
- Organizing and correctly storing food supplies.
- Properly cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene, ensure the kitchen is ready for the following shift
- Washing and appropriately storing all cooking appliances, instruments, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Cleaning kitchen and appliances.
- Sweeping and mopping the kitchen floors as well as wiping down kitchen walls after the shift.

**Requirements**:

- Good time management
- Ability to work swiftly at a hot, steamy and fast-paced kitchen
- Familiar with authentic Vietnamese Cuisine is preferable
- Great interest in learning and becoming a cook or working in hospitality.
- Good personal hygiene and physical healthy
- Able to work as part of team
- Hold a positive can do attitude
- Must be able to work on weekend and evening shifts
