We are currently seeking to employ a **Programme Manager - Capital Works** to our Transmission Projects team. In this role, you will provide a key support role in delivering business growth by negotiating, securing, and executing major programmes of capital works, to ensure that each project is strategically bid, won, and delivered achieving target or better - safety, quality, programme, budgets, and customer service standards.

- Seeking new business opportunities by building networks with industry organisations and negotiating major contracts with new and existing clients.
- Becoming involved in the early stages of designated major project opportunities to developing winning strategies and successful delivery methodologies.
- Overseeing the planning of major projects and implementing appropriate risk management and management processes for successful delivery.
- Providing support to the Commercial Manager to ensure that appropriate commercial arrangements are in place in tendering of large and critical projects.
- Overseeing the execution of major projects to ensure appropriate control measures are applied.
- Assisting Project Managers in the performance management of contracts.
- Technical management of new processes and equipment procurement/development.
- Contributing to the development of methodologies and procedures.
- Project management of works as required.
- Intermittent or extended work hours as required.
- Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others.
- Setting a personal example on all matters of health and safety and participate in Perimeter/BU worker participation practices.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Engineering Degree, NZCE, or similar is required.
- Technical understanding of Transmission Line estimating and engineering requirements.
- Possess bid manager and tendering skills, with an ability to be hands on.
- Hands-on experience in Transmission Lines construction project management.
- Experience in negotiating contractual agreements.
- Advanced customer relationship building.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with stakeholders at all levels.
