**About the role**

Reporting to Firth’s P&P Manager, this is a hands-on opportunity for you to use your broad generalist experience in a role that spans the full HR remit.
- Partnering with business leaders to drive performance
- Employment relations through to areas of culture and talent
- Proactive management of various union relationships and collective bargaining

Our team takes a portfolio approach to supporting the business, yours covers certified operations across the South Island and Lower North; we are open to where you may be based but flexibility for regional travel is a must, and you’ll need to enjoy getting out on site working alongside our teams and learning about the business.

Our P&P team work directly with our leadership and frontline teams and have a genuine desire to understand our operations, which allows us to ensure HR initiatives support the wider business strategy.

**About you**

Your influencing and problem-solving skills will be critical to your success as you work with our team to lift capability, build resilience and drive engagement. You will engage with individuals at all levels of the business through a pragmatic and solution-based approach to ensure you are viewed as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner.
- Experienced HR partner with a full generalist background including IR/ ER.
- Passionate about delivering great people practices; you will be down to earth in your style.

We have over 750 people in more than 70 plant sites, and work collaboratively across the wider group so there is always something interesting or new going on
