Our client, the Buller District Council (BDC), is the territorial authority for the northern West Coast. Their goal is to promote the well-being of their local communities. They have a wide range of responsibilities under the Local Government Act.

**The Opportunity**
We're seeking a Customer Service Officer to provide an excellent standard of customer service, administration, and coordination support to other teams within the Buller District Council.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Deliver quality customer service - provide information & resolve enquiries through strong verbal and written communication
- General administrative & cashier duties
- Attend team meetings & provide administration support to the team as required
- Stock management
- Promotion of services

**Who are you'**
This is an opportunity for an experienced administrator to be part of local government,and make a positive contribution alongside passionate and talented people.

**What's on offer**:

- Permanent part-time role, 20 hours minimum per week with increased hours periodically to cover staff leave etc.
- Mon-Fri, between the hours of 8am - 5pm

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience working in a customer service/reception role
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Proficient use of MS Office products & sound computer operation skills
- Problem solving & multi-tasking skills
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation
- Current New Zealand Drivers License
- **Must have the right to live and work in New Zealand**
