The Customer Service Officer is a fast-paced, frontline role which is vital to our business. IR does so much more than just collect taxes - we actually fund and deliver programmes which support and care for the people of New Zealand. What's more, a career with us does not necessarily mean a career in numbers and taxes - you’ll be bringing your customer centric approach to improve customer experience.
Day-to-day, your tasks might include responding to customers, coming up with solutions, and calculating options when communicating a plan.

We invest in you from day one - providing a well-mapped out training programme that allows you to understand our tax and social policy products.
Your standard span of hours of work will be set between 6am and 8.30pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 5.05pm on Saturdays. Your specific hours of work will be described in your letter of offer. We have a Rotating Roster which operates 5 weeks in advance.
