**Metal Trade Worker**

**Required Skills and Responsibilities**:

- Studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements
- Operation of aluminium extrusion, processing and manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Powder coating, surface finishing, anodising, and/ or fabrication and assembly of parts.
- Operation of general aluminium processing equipment such and CNCs, Thermal Breaking lines,
- Selecting metal stock, such as stainless steel, galvanised iron, mild steel, aluminium and copper, and checking sizes, gauges and other dimensions of metal stock against specifications
- Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers
- Marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments
- Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, guillotines and drills
- Operate punch presses and saws

Positions are currently available across multiple regions of New Zealand, including Northland, Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, Manawatu-Whanganui, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Marlborough, West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland. Workers may be required to travel between these locations as operational needs arise. The employer will cover all necessary travel expenses and accommodation when relocation is required. However, if a worker chooses not to relocate when requested, they will remain in their current location.
