**About The Team**
Established in 2014, RATA (Regional Asset Technical Accord) was created as a collaborative team to support Councils across the Waikato Region to deliver support and projects that improve the management of Council assets. The RATA team is employed by Waipa District Council and is contracted to the Waikato Local Authority shared services, Co-Lab. Co-Lab is equally owned by 12 Councils across the greater Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions.
The RATA team's core purpose is to support RATA's vision and strategic objectives through successfully delivering a portfolio of asset management related projects and initiatives across ten councils in the Waikato Region. The RATA Programme of Activities includes a range of professional services contracts, leading investigations into improvement initiatives, and providing critical data and reporting for the improved management of Council assets.
The RATA team is based in Lakewood, Cambridge, and we enjoy the flexibility to work from home several days per week. **About The Role**
With the support of our team, you will lead the delivery of RATA's programme of asset management related projects and activities on behalf of the Councils and by:
- Managing a team of Project Managers (direct reports and Contractors_ and technical specialists to deliver the annual programme of activities - including the operational delivery of selected projects
- Supporting the development and implementation of the RATA Business Plan, and Annual Programme of Activities.
- Leading workshops and working across Council and stakeholder organisations to refine scope of technical solutions before hand-over to delivery teams.
- Facilitating collaborative relationships with partner councils in delivery of RATA's portfolio of projects.
- Managing and reporting on the RATA programme of activities. This will include overseeing the current: Structures inspection contracts (SAMS), Data collection contracts, and RATA investigation projects.
**About You**
For this role, we are looking for someone with:
- A relevant qualification in civil engineering;
- Excellent knowledge and skills in municipal asset management, with a broad knowledge of civil engineering, Waka Kotahi systems, roading design standards and funding mechanisms;
- Proven experience in delivering professional services contracts;
- An efficient and analytical approach to programme monitoring and delivery in order to manage the range and scope of RATA's projects.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to excel at engaging with our suppliers and partner councils
- Demonstrated experience leading, influencing and working collaboratively.
