CAPS Hauraki (Child Abuse Prevention Services) is a social service agency helping children and families live safe, happy, and thriving lives. Our services extend across Thames/Coromandel and Hauraki regions.
You will lead a team working with families and children dealing with abuse and sexual violence cases, where you’ll be using your expertise to support your team to deliver services in challenging environments. You'll also be active in the community networking and building relationships with stakeholders and communities around Hauraki.

**What you’ll be doing**:
Inspire your team to be the best they can be and make a difference in the lives of the families in our community
Provide day-to-day service coordination and leadership that supports the work of our service delivery team.
Build great relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally to CAPS Hauraki.
Provide coaching and mentorship to your team, to support their success and development

As Team Leader, you’ll be reporting directly to CAPS Hauraki’s General Manager. This is a great opportunity if you’ve had previous experience within social services or similar, or have the drive and motivation to be ready to step into and grow in a leadership role.

**What you’ll bring**:
A relevant tertiary clinical degree and / or significant job-related experience (Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, etc)
Advanced knowledge and understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence, family violence and other forms of abuse
A systems thinker, able to coordinate, schedule and monitor services to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard
A strong leadership capability, where you’ll get energy from coaching, mentoring, and supporting others to succeed.
Due to travel components of the role around Hauraki, you’ll also need to have a full NZ driver's licence. As a part of the recruitment process, you will need to pass a safety check, inclusive of Police Vetting under the Children’s Act of 2014.
