**Mo te turanga mahi | About the role**

Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Advisor to join the Governance team.

The Governance team is the 'front door' for the ministry, managing key external relationships with ministers and central Government agencies. The team also focuses on raising the standards of policy advice, alongside providing internal and external governance advice to ministers and senior leaders.

You will be involved in supporting our Chief Executive with necessary material for meetings and engagement, providing secretariat governance support for Te Purengi and Te Mimiro, and delivering the Chief Executive weekend bag.

You will also support our Quality of Advice function and work with Chief Advisors on different projects.

- Machinery of Government experience.
- Ability to initiate, develop and maintain a range of relationships and networks, both internally and externally.
- High attention to detail, excellent communication.
- Experience contributing to policy projects.
- Being able to juggle multiple projects with multiple stakeholders (really want some who can multi task and meet deadlines).

**Whanuitanga Utu a-Tau | Salary range**

Salary range for this role is $79,598 to $96,372 pa. Appointment within this range will be based on skills and experience.
