Health & Safety Advisor - Construction

**About the role**
Assist the Project Manager in driving a positive health and safety culture. One that actively promotes a healthy and safe environment for everybody on site.
- Motivating and inspiring your team and contractors to deliver work safely and ensuring we 'Do it safely or not at all'
- Identifying & reporting health, safety & wellbeing risks, incidents and near misses
- Ensuring team members and contractors are inducted, trained and they understand their responsibilities in relation to health, safety & wellbeing
- Supervising the safe work of team members and contractors as required
- Verifying that risk assessments are completed for work under your control
- Following all applicable health, safety & wellbeing instructions, policy and procedures
**Skills & Knowledge**
- Health and safety legislation
- Work-related illnesses and injuries, and rehabilitation strategies
- WorkSafe policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) procedures
- International health and safety standards and tools
