The Asia New Zealand Foundation is the leading non-profit, non-partisan organisation dedicated to building New Zealand’s links with Asia. The mission of the Foundation is to equip New Zealanders to thrive in Asia. This includes building knowledge and understanding through activities in research and Track II diplomacy, arts, business, entrepreneurship, education, media, sports, and leadership development.

**The role**

The Foundation is looking for an Adviser (Research and Engagement) to join its Wellington office on a 2 year fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to become part of a small but dynamic research and engagement team.

This role supports the delivery of a comprehensive, credible and accurate programme of research that helps inform the work of the Foundation and provides collateral in support of the Foundation’s strategic messages. It also supports the engagement and Track II non-government diplomacy work of the Foundation. This is a pro-active, hands-on role that requires a process-oriented and methodical approach, broad communication skills, and frequent collaboration with others in the organisation.

**What you will bring**
- Process-oriented approach; excellent attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to work on several projects at once and deliver to deadlines
- Experience in a similar role, and/or a qualification would be advantageous
- An interest in Asia and New Zealand’s relationships across Asia
