Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role 

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Research Funding Adviser from a STEM background to join Te Kōhure - Research Office in a permanent, full‑time role based at our Kelburn Campus.

As a Research Funding Adviser, you'll work closely with researchers to develop and submit high-quality funding proposals, build strong relationships across the University and with external funders, and help maximise research income.

As part of a collaborative and supportive team, you'll be involved in a variety of research support work, with opportunities for professional growth, and a healthy work-life balance.

Your expertise will contribute directly to the University's research success and make a real impact on outcomes for our academic community.

Ō pūmanawa - About you

You have experience in research or research funding and a background in a STEM subject. Experience working with Māori researchers or communities would be desirable. Strong applicants from other professional or academic backgrounds will also be considered.

You have excellent communication and relationship-building skills, are organised and adaptable, and enjoy working in a team environment.

You demonstrate initiative and drive. You have an ability to manage competing priorities, strong analytical skills, and learn new skills quickly. You are positive and passionate about supporting others.
